Do it for a story to tell.
If you know me, you’ll know I’m a huge advocate for embracing every opportunity that comes your way. Close friends often quote me as saying, “Do it for the story!” (Yes, I might have written that into wet cement during my sophomore year of college, but that’s a tale for another time.)
I believe in living in the present and not dwelling on the “shoulda, coulda, woulda” moments that can weigh us down. That’s why I’m passionate about encouraging others to say yes to new experiences, especially when it comes to traveling—one of my truest passions.
This past summer, I had the life-changing opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy, where I immersed myself in new perspectives and ways of life. While there, I took courses like Italian Luxury Industry, Marketing of Italian Wine, Discovering Florence and Its Living Neighborhoods, and Italian 2. What stood out to me most was their deep commitment to savoring the moment and indulging in life’s pleasures—something I believe everyone can bring back into their own lives.
This photo was taken at a stunning hotel called Il Salviatino in Fiesole, a town on the outskirts of Florence, Italy. Their establishment was intimate, luxurious, and historic.
Coupled with my last three years of experience as a restaurant server, where I learned the importance of creating memorable experiences for others, I’ve developed a genuine passion for the art of hospitality and the consumer experience. This inspired me to take on a role as a part-time travel advisor with Fora Travel. In this position, I helped travelers book hotels, cruises, excursions, and more—all with added perks to elevate their adventures.
I couldn’t be more excited to help others create unforgettable stories of their own. So, if you’ve been dreaming of taking a trip, here’s your sign: go for it. At the very least, do it for the story!
